Exciting Announcement!
We have three NEW Say "NO!" and TELL! books to reach more kids!

Where did this vision begin?
I was a teacher for 15 years in several different states including CA, MI and NC. I have taught pre-school, 2nd, 4th and 5th grade in the classroom as well as K to 5th grade health and physical education plus coached gymnastics and volleyball pre-school through college age kids.
One place I taught was Clarkston Community Public Schools in MI, as an elementary health education teacher. I travelled between four elementary schools every week teaching over 1000 kids, while shlepping all the health materials with me. I even had to buy a 2 in 1 hand truck with snow tires to transport several times a day during the season of snow...I mean winter!
In the spring, I taught this unit called Personal Safety - prevention of child sexual abuse. The seven elementary schools had been teaching this unit for over ten years by the time I was introduced to it and I wondered "why I was not taught this when I was young?"
The approach was child-friendly and age-appropriate, which helped to cast a wide net for most all families' comfortability by simply focusing on the health skill of personal safety - boundaries for private parts. The content was refined while the delivery was outdated and this is where my vision began - to create children's books that are light, bright, colorful and full of positive life-skills to build (vs an antiquated fear-based health education approach) with a story plus scenarios to role-play for interaction and mastery.
Reaching all audiences is key to empowering every child!
Our goal is to reach as many kids and families as possible with boundaries and personal safety. Ever since the Say "NO" and TELL!
books were launched in TX 2016 and over the past five years, the feedback has been encouraging and helpful. I have listened and made edits due to insightful feedbackplus just launched a new set of books for secular audiences to reach more kids - thank you!
The We Stand Guard Program now includes Set I or Set II of three Say “NO!” and TELL!
books. All books function as toolkits with options, so you can choose what best fits your needs and values.
NEW - Set I offers a health education approach for secular audiences (purple titles).
Set II offers the same approach with information for faith-based audiences (blue titles).
The NEW Set I of the Say "NO!" and TELL! books focus on education to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation in all its forms, whether that be physical or non-physical contact abuse. All children need to know what to do during a questionable encounter; statistics show it may not be a matter of if, but when. Reaching all audiences is key to empowering every child.
Our health educator’s simple approach to boundaries and personal body safety for kids, guides the learning process at home, schools, sports and other youth organizations. The inclusive characters of Maisie the Monarch or Daxton the Dolphin, model boundaries and body safety strategies through creative adventures filled with fun science facts about their life cycles. Eight easy to understand role-play scenarios provide practical ways for kids and adults to practice critical tools while opening opportunities for natural dialogue. There is also a quiz for review.
